Amin Khan

President – Cambridge office

Amin started his career in the Telecommunications industry in 1986 with ITT Corporation after graduating from Humber College. In 1989 Amin joined TeleConnect Systems to lead their technical department and later became a minority partner of the Cambridge office. In 1998, Amin along with partner Tyson Duncan, opened the Empire Communications Cambridge office and over the past 19 years has built a successful business that focuses on meeting customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations. This commitment to customers is built on a backbone of professional integrity and has allowed ECI to become a highly capable and trusted source for I.T. business solutions in Southwestern Ontario.

Account Manager

Alex Kelly

Marketing and Sales Support

Alex graduated from the Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and joined the ECI team in 2012. Withinn his role as a Sales & Marketing Support agent, Alex is responsible for assisting customers with the renewal of their ECI Support Services contracts as well as any other support related agreements. Further to this, Alex also provides customers with quotes for items such as additional phones and headsets.

Tyson Duncan

Network Support Specialist

Tyson Duncan graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming in 1995 where he specialized in telecommunications. He joined the ECI team in 1998, and has been an integral member of the support team in a range of important roles throughout his 19 years at the company. Tyson’s various positions at ECI have included everything from Technician/Installer, to Service Manager as well as Operations Manager. More recently, Tyson has focused his efforts on introducing new networking products into the ECI portfolio. This will ultimately provide a wider array of advantageous technical solutions and services to ECI’s customers.


Mike James

Service Manager

Mike started working at ECI in 1999 and has extensively  grown his knowledge and expertise within the company ever since, becoming both the customer service team lead and manager of the service department. As an avid learner, Mike enjoys the ongoing development of his technical skills, as new and improved technology continues to be deployed in an ever changing industry.


Darrin Thompson

Senior Technician

Darrin Thompson has been a part of the technical support team since 2002, bringing with him an extensive customer service oriented background. His various roles at ECI include Helpdesk Support, onsite service, and large project installations.


Neil Oleskiw

Senior Technician

Neil has been a part of the technical support team since 2003. His various roles include Helpdesk Support, onsite service, and large project installations.


Chad Bielek

Senior Technician

Chad has been working in a technical role with the ECI Team since 2007,  his specialties and responsibilities have evolved over the years as new technology develops.  His current directive is the implementation, installation and maintenance of new network infrastructure including routing, switching and telephony equipment. As a technician who is often working on location, Chad takes pride in offering excellent customer service, ensuring smooth transitions to new technologies for all of the ECI clients that he interacts with.


Ken Bennett


Ken graduated from the electronics engineering technician program from Conestoga College and joined ECI in 2014. Prior to working at ECI, he worked as a technician at Research In Motion for five years. Some of Ken’s duties at ECI include: the programming and  installation of NEC phone systems, installing paging systems, and implementing and running structured cabling at customer sites.


Mike Fowler


Mike Fowler is the epitome of your friendly neighborhood cable guy. He joined the ECI team in April of 2009 and since that time, Mike has become an expert in structured cabling and data racking. In addition, Mike has an incredible knowledge base in voice as well as data applications and is is proficient in fibre optic cabling implementations.

Nicola Parkinson

Project Coordinator

As Project Coordinator Nicola Parkinson has been involved in system designs and smoothing the transition to new phone systems for ECI’s clients ever since joining the company in 2011. Nicola’s foremost goal, along with the rest of the ECI team, is to maintain excellent customer care and ensure customer satisfaction at the end of each and every project. Further to these responsibilities, Nicola also visits many client sites to conduct training seminars. These sessions provide valuable hands on training that allows for companies to seamlessly transition to their new phone systems and  call management software, including ShoreTel Connect Client and NEC Desktop Suite.


Tami-Lynn Vincent

Customer Care Inside Support (Inventory Control)

Tami-Lynn Vincent graduated  in Information Technology Applications and Technical Support from Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning and joined the ECI team in 2012.  She brought with her, many years of Customer Service and Administrative experience.  She takes pride in assisting customers with opening service orders, processing purchase orders, and tracking orders to ensure they arrive in a timely manner. Tami also works with our customers to ensure a seamless RMA (Return Materials Authorization) process as well as manages our warehouse.


Rebecca McIntosh

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Rebecca McIntosh graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in business from York University. She joined the ECI team in 2016 as a customer service representative and telecommunications specialist. Her role has since expanded to Sales and Marketing Coordinator and includes a high degree of interaction with our clients as well as our partner companies and allows for her to provide the outstanding customer service that ECI is known for. In addition, Rebecca currently manages ECI’s projects for both Cloud Services and Rogers implementations.

Patricia Cody-Cabral

 Accounting/Payroll Professional

Pat has been a member of the ECI team since 2016 and has more than 20 years of accounting experience behind her. She is responsible for all aspects of accounts payable/receivable, processing invoices, and looking after employee payroll and benefit plans. Pat is passionate about volunteering and contributing to the community, working with The Nutrition for Learning Program – Waterloo Region as well as the YMCA Taekwondo program.
